Is the suspense high enough or did I just irritate a lot of you with my post last week on “Why the Right Talent is So Hard to Find”.
For those too young to remember, Paul Harvey was one of the greatest story teller’s I ever heard. Perfect voice, perfect timing, and you hung on every word. But in each story you got a pause that left you hanging and lord have mercy on anyone who interrupted the rest of it.
Here is the rest of the story! The small number of companies who are actually trying to match their hires to their culture-usually fail because their culture usually isn’t what they think it is!!! If you don’t know what your culture is-AND NOTE I DIDN’T SAY WHAT YOU THINK IT IS! then there simply isn’t anyway for you to succeed at hiring someone who fits your culture!! And that’s where the work starts, with experts that know how to solve this challenge. And relax-It isn’t as painful and overwhelming as you might think when you work with someone who knows what they are doing!
